JOB HISTORY

 

1991 - 2000 and 2002 – present

Staff Coordinator, House Appropriations Committee.  Coordinate the development of chairman’s budget proposal.  Manage the committee hearings.  Provide assistance to all House members regarding fiscal issues.  Act as lead staff in communications with Senate and executive branch staff regarding fiscal issues.

 

2000 – 2002

Director of Administration and Government Relations, Administrative Office of the Courts.  Served as legislative liaison for the judicial branch, including the development of legislative strategies.  Directed all business support functions including accounting, budgeting, facilities and contracts.

 

1986 – 1990

Senior Budget Assistant to the Governor, Office of Financial Management.  Assisted in the development and implementation of the Governor’s budget and fiscal policies in the areas of capital construction and transportation.  Acted as lead staff for the Governor in fiscal policy discussions with local and state agencies and the Legislature.

 

(Began state service in 1980 at the Evergreen State College, moved to Senate Ways and Means in 1983, and the Commission for Vocational Education in 1984, before transferring to OFM in January of 1986.)
